  1. Hi,

Are you okay if I link your article on the Nighthawk to a piece I am writing on my blog. I actually already did, but am happy to delete it if you hate it. I figured it was perhaps easier to understand how I wanted to use it by sending you the full article/picture.

Love your dream work especially, but just found you and will look further.

    1. Thank you, Tonia. Absolutely I am ok with your link. I enjoyed your article very much. You write beautifully and with sensitivity. I am following your blog now and look forward to reading more!

  2. Hello,
I’ve just purchased your Animal Spirits Oracle cards via Gamecrafter. Is there a separate guidebook with more info on the animals? Just thought I’d check.
thank you – I’m looking forward to working with them!
Do you have any other decks available?

    : )

    1. Hi Carol!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for purchasing my deck. (And apologies for the delayed reply.) The deck does include a small guidebook with instructions for using the cards. I’m working on writing up more info on all the animals – once I’ve hit them all I’m planning to publish a pdf guidebook to accompany the deck. In the meantime, if you visit http://brightspiritrising.com/cards/ and scroll down you will find a list of the animals in the deck, along with links to those I’ve already written up.

This is a labor of love so bear with me and keep checking back – it’s happening as I am able to create time for it! 🙂 Also, if there’s a particular card you’d really like more info on sooner rather than later, be sure to let me know and I’ll try to bump that one up in queue. 🙂

Right now this is my only deck but I expect there will be more to follow. Thanks for asking, and I hope you enjoy the cards!

  3. Hi, hope you are well. I’m a 32 year old male and up until a few months ago shut of from spirituality completely. I’m doing my best to self educate which leads me here. Are totems capable of being specific? For example, I know the common jumping spider is my totem. I know it. But now what? Is anything different in animal medicine for the individual species?

    1. Yes, Caleb. If you’re connecting with a specific species, it has specific medicine for you. I would suggest spending some time with the jumping spider. Research it, learn all you can about it – its habits, feeding choices, reproductive patterns, physical characteristics, etc. Also predator/prey relationships. And spend time observing it if you can.

The jumping spider is quite different from most other spiders, as you know. They don’t build webs but rather rely on their vision to seek and hunt their prey. And they can jump up to 50X their length! This would suggest to me that leaps of insight or sudden spiritual advances may be natural for you. And you may tend towards proactively pursuing what you desire. It’s a very masculine sort of energy. If you find this is getting unbalanced, you may want to balance it with a more feminine totem, or look to the behavior of the female for guidance.

Good luck, and congrats on finding your totem. If you feel you would like more insight or guidance on working with your animal guides, you are welcome to schedule a reading.

  4. Christie, I love your website. I found it when searching for the shamanic meaning of the Tiger Swallowtail Moth. Your artwork is so beautiful! I wanted to subscribe to your newsletter so I don’t miss any of your content, but it looks like the link to do so is missing. I just see some plaintext code. Ill include my email in the event you can add me manually. Thank you so much.

    1. Thank you, Kelly! I so appreciate your reaching out, and also the heads up about the subscribe link. I will definitely add you to the tribe. 🙂

  5. Thank you for your article. Your voice and wisdom as soothing to me like a comforting friend. You are someone I would love to know and have part of my healing journey. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

  6. Hi I love you website my Daughter has Anxiety and decided she needed a rabbit so we picked a Holland Lop her name was Bindi she was special and very smart had a different loving bond with each of us but Hailey was her favorite she went out never tried to run away she get hot come back in on her own but something went wrong one day we tried to save her vet’s where closed we lost her the vet and I believe her kidney failure but it happened so fast broke our hearts miss her so much I believe she still with us I had dreams about her but I can’t explain how special she was bunny love is so deep but I was wondering if you think this means she is trying to get a message to us

    1. I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. It can be so hard. I know some people have good luck with bunnies but they are very sensitive animals and in my experience things like this are not uncommon. (And yes, they are awesome animals and much smarter than most people give them credit for.) Sometimes these things happen and we don’t know why. Just trust that she did come into your life for a reason – our animals always do, out of love. She brought some kind of love energy into your lives, that is for sure. I would suggest if you haven’t already doing some kind of ceremony for her. And very important – when you think of her remember the Love and the Joy she brought into your life, don’t dwell on the sorrow of loss. She came in for Love, and that’s what I am feeling she would like for you to focus on.

  7. Hi,

I contact you on the behalf of Yoga Sangha, a yoga Studio in Montreal.

We really like your spirit animal awareness cards, is it possible to sell them here?

    Thanks a lot,
